Bamtipang does not ask for personal information such as your name, email or phone number. There are no accounts or logins, and your game progress is stored on your device. To improve the game we receive anonymous usage statistics and crash reports (Google Firebase), and the app shows ads (Google AdMob). This page explains what that involves.
1. What the app stores on your device
The following values are stored only on your device and are never sent to the developer's servers. They are removed when you delete the app.
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Progress | Petals, Seonang Tree upgrades, collection and outfits, run records, daily run records, tier score |
| Resume | The run in progress (board state, cards, time left) |
| Settings | Sound, vibration, animation speed, tutorial status |
| Ad pacing | Counters and timestamps used to avoid showing interstitial ads too often |
None of this identifies you personally.
2. Usage statistics and crash reports (Google Firebase)
We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to balance the game and fix bugs. They collect:
- Usage statistics: app opens, screen views, run start / round results / run end (game numbers such as the round reached and time left), result-card shares, whether an ad was shown
- Crash and error information: the error and code location when the app crashes, device model, OS version, app version
- An installation identifier: a random ID created by Firebase for each app install (not linked to your name or contacts), and approximate country/region derived from your IP address
This information is not used to identify you and not used for ad tracking. The developer only sees aggregated statistics and crash reports in the Firebase console. See Privacy and Security in Firebase for details.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows banner, interstitial and rewarded ads through Google AdMob. Google and its partners may collect and use the following to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud:
- Advertising identifiers (iOS IDFA/IDFV, Android Advertising ID)
- Approximate location derived from your IP address (country/region level)
- Device model, OS version, language settings
- Interactions with ads such as impressions and clicks
This collection follows Google's policies, and the developer has no access to the raw data. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the AdMob data disclosure.
Consent and choices
- In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, the app asks for consent to personalized ads through Google's consent tool (UMP) on first launch. You can play normally without consenting.
- On iOS, the app requests App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission. If you decline, ads are shown without a tracking identifier and the game is unaffected.
- On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Settings > Google > Ads.
4. Leaderboards (Game Center · Google Play Games)
When you submit a record, your Game Center (or Play Games) nickname and score are stored by Apple (or Google) and shown to other players. Sign-in and display names follow your platform account settings; the developer does not receive your account information.
5. Sharing a result card
When you tap "Share result card", the image is created on your device and sent through your device's share sheet to the app you choose. Nothing is sent to the developer's servers.
6. Children
The app is not directed at any particular age group and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If a child uses the device, we recommend that a parent turns off ad personalization in the device settings.
7. Retention and deletion
Values stored on the device are deleted when you delete the app. Firebase usage statistics are kept for up to 14 months and crash reports for up to 90 days, then deleted automatically. Because statistics and crash data are not linked to your name or contact details we cannot look up a specific person's records, but you can contact us below if you want them deleted. Ad-related data is handled under Google's policies.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above, and announce important changes in the app.
